It is a high-end, environmentally friendly raised access floor system. Its core panel is made from industrial by-product gypsum (calcium sulfate) that is calcined at high temperatures, re-crystallized, and mixed with reinforcing fibers (such as plant or glass fibers) before being pressed. The top and bottom surfaces are typically laminated with galvanized steel sheets to provide exceptional strength and rigidity, while the edges are sealed with conductive edging or steel. Its antistatic function is achieved through a conductive surface layer (e.g., HPL or PVC) and an internal grounding system. Because the main component, calcium sulfate crystals, contains water of crystallization, it can release water vapor at high temperatures to slow the spread of fire, giving it exceptionally excellent fire resistance.
